Toyota Corolla Levin ZR – 2013

For starters the new look of the Corolla is much more aggressive than it’s ever been. The smooth lines, and sharpened angles were taken from Toyota’s NS4 Plug-in Hybrid project, and put to good use here. The front fascia alone is simply eye catching, and dares you to not look away.

For 2013 the Corolla has been given some enhancements under the bonnet. For the most part, power levels are still modest, hovering around 103kW, and 173Nm. Just 3kW more than the outgoing model, but even with the lack of a massive power gain, the Corolla makes up for it with a much improved transmission. Gone is the slow, and clunky 4 speed automatic, and in its place is a very refined, simple, quiet, and extremely functional CVT. This new CVT, coupled with the awesome looking aerodynamics allow for a lot less time to be spent at the pump. No more hungry mornings on the way to work, because you couldn’t buy that Blueberry Pomegranate Muffin you’ve been dying for, with the Petrol money.

The interior of the new Corolla is great for the type of car that it’s in. Toyota’s designers found ways to elongate the cabin space by a total of 20%. So there’s enough room for a family of five, and the Tea-cup Yorkie. Now as far as the driver is concerned, Toyota made sure that this new console would not disappoint. A brightly colored LED display behind the steering wheel provides plenty of information while the driver is motoring along. And to keep the passenger occupied, there’s a 6 to 7in screen that provides all of the lavish info-tainment qualities one would ask for when it comes to driving a top of the line model. Stereo Head Unit, Blutooth, MP3, and USB connections are available.

This 2013 Toyota Corolla is a sight to behold. With its new looks, interior, and drive train, the Mazda 3, and Hyundai i30 need to keep a watchful eye behind them, for Toyota has made its latest move with its new 2013 Corolla.
