Australia loves the Hilux! It’s highly capable, versatile and tough. And in this video, Simone tells you all about it.

For review, it’s the new 2018 Toyota Hilux in the top Rugged X trim.

Toyota did loads of market research, listened to loads of feedback, tested locally extensively and came up with the Rogue, Rugged and Rugged X versions of the Hilux.

There are three options in all, including a 2.7-litre petrol, 2.4-litre turbo diesel.

But for the Rugged X, the only option is a 2.8 l turbo diesel.

The Toyota Hilux remains the best seller but continues to face tough competition from other utes like the Ford Ranger, Nissan Navara, Holden Colorado, Mazda BT-50 and Isuzu D-Max. Be sure to watch our reviews on all of them.
