THE luxury SUV world will get more than a spark of performance in a few weeks when Jaguar’s IPace goes on sale after its Geneva Motor Show debut on March 6.

The first ones for Australia will arrive around mid-year, loaded with Next-Gen technology and stunning emission-free performance.

Jag’s first electric vehicle will deliver 700Nm of instant torque, 294kW and be able to zoom to 100km/h in about 4 seconds.

More than its sports car performance and SUV practicality, the I-Pace can be fully charged in 45 minutes, making it a viable every day car, equally at home on the school run, daily commute or even coping with sub-zero temperatures.

It has just had a chilly test session in Sweden, at temperatures down to -40Β°C.

Owners will be able to use mains power to prepare the battery and cabin temperature ahead of a journey.

Pre-conditioning the car ensures maximum range, performance and comfort whether temperatures are freezing cold or extremely hot and setting up of the preferred charging times and pre-conditioning schedules can be done from either the on-board InControl system, or the Remote smartphone App.
