What is it?
The MU-X is Isuzu's body-on-frame 7-seat 4WD wagon, built on the same ladder chassis as the D-Max ute. The MY25.5 update added a new 1.9L turbo diesel option alongside the familiar 3.0L, with a refreshed 10.1-inch infotainment screen.
The lineup runs from LS-M 1.9 4x2 at $47,400 plus on-roads, through to LS-T 3.0 4x4 at $67,500 plus on-roads. Warranty cover sits at 6 years, 150,000 km.
Interior and Technology
3,500 kg braked tow standard across the range with body-on-frame ladder chassis, low range and a rear diff lock on the LS-T. 6-year warranty sits above the segment 5-year norm.
1.9L 4-cylinder is noisier and slower than the 3.0L under load. Cabin plastics feel utilitarian against Sorento and Santa Fe.
