Limited to just 30 units available in all of Australia, and 1958 worldwide, and they pay homage to the 500 Jolly Spiaggina, the first special edition series of the Fiat 500.
The wee cabrio can be had in a choice of manual and dualogic transmission and comes with about $3000 of additional design elements extending from the Lounge specification.
They’re all finished in Volare blue, run on 16-inch vintage design alloy wheels, have a white ‘beauty line’, a chrome bonnet line, mirror covers and bumper inserts, a Spiaggina ’58 badge on its shapely rump and beige soft top.
Inside are striped seat inserts with ivory highlights, 500 logo and piping and branded front and rear floor mats.
Spiaggina relates to ‘beach’ or ’shore’ and Volare, for folk who are not pasta lovers, translates as ‘to fly’ – which you might have to do if you want to secure one of these rare beauties.
“We’re excited to celebrate the history of Fiat’s very first special edition series with the arrival of the Fiat 500C Spiaggina ’58 Edition,” Fiat Australia’s Fulvio Antonelli said.
“It combines an eccentric Volare blue exterior with vintage design elements to really turn heads.”
Eccentric blue?
Non importa.
