What is it?
The GR Corolla takes the rally tech from the GR Yaris and drops it into a five-door body with a usable rear seat. 221 kW from the G16E-GTS three-cylinder, GR-Four AWD with three drive modes, manual or 8-speed Gazoo Racing automatic. Performance Pack adds Torsen front and rear LSDs.
The lineup runs from GTS (manual) at $67,990 plus on-roads, through to GTS Performance (auto) at $78,990 plus on-roads. Warranty cover sits at 5 years, unlimited km.
Interior and Technology
221 kW from a three-cylinder, the highest output GR-Four spec sold. Five-door body with usable rear seat, three GR-Four drive modes (Normal, Sport, Track), Performance Pack adds Torsen front and rear LSDs.
$67,990 entry is more than a Golf R and less practical than a Civic Type R. Ride is firm on Performance Pack BBS wheels. 213 L boot is small for a hot hatch this size.
Should you buy the GR Corolla?
