What is it?
The third-generation 3008 is the first model on Stellantis' STLA Medium platform. Peugeot has pivoted to a coupe-SUV silhouette, brought a 21-inch panoramic display, and offers three powertrains: mild-hybrid, self-charging hybrid, and the all-electric E-3008.
The lineup runs from Allure (MHEV) at $52,990 plus on-roads, through to E-3008 GT at $79,990 plus on-roads. Warranty cover sits at 5 years, unlimited km.
Interior and Technology
Three powertrains on one body, including the 525 km WLTP E-3008. The 21-inch panoramic display is genuinely a segment first.
ANCAP is not yet locked in for the new generation, and the Hybrid 145 power output sits below the RAV4 and CR-V e:HEV.
Should you buy the 3008?
Reasons to buy
- Three powertrains on one body, including the 525 km WLTP E-3008. The 21-inch panoramic display is genuinely a segment first.
- Warranty: 5 years, unlimited km. EV battery: 8 years, 160,000 km.
- 520 L boot, segment-competitive cargo space.
Reasons to wait
- ANCAP is not yet locked in for the new generation, and the Hybrid 145 power output sits below the RAV4 and CR-V e:HEV.
- You want a longer warranty (Kia Niro at 7 years), a confirmed ANCAP score now (the new generation is TBC), or a more powerful hybrid output (RAV4, CR-V e:HEV).
- The small i-Cockpit steering wheel and high-mounted instruments remain divisive. Take a long test drive to confirm the ergonomics work for you.
- Top trim climbs to $79,990 plus on-roads.
