Jenny reviews the 2021 Hyundai Palisade. An all-new to Australia 8 seater SUV. 

Hyundai are well established and renowned in oz they sell a lot, they tune most of their vehicles for our roads specifically, so I feel we should have got something like the Palisade earlier.

It is an Americanized SUV, bigger than anything Hyundai offered here before, and obviously aimed at spaciousness and comfort for trips with the family. So, we are fans of Hyundai, these kinds of vehicles have popular appeal the Palisade should be a win-win for Hyundai.

The Palisade is expensive. You need over $60k for the entry-level version. But it is packed with features. This also means that the Palisade can be considered a luxury vehicle.

The top Highlander packs even more luxury, adding things like heated and vented seats for the front and back, sunroof, suede headliner and even the leather gets an upgrade to the wonderfully plush Nappa.

Engine choices include a 2.2 litre diesel with 147 kW and 440 Nm, the latter from 1750to 2750 revs. The petrol option is a bit cheaper and it is a Lambda 2, 3.8 V6 with 217 kW and 355 Nm. It has direct injection, but it is naturally aspirated, so you have to rev it harder to feel the push. Diesels are AWD and petrol versions are FWD.
